A unique position has become available for a Senior Business Development Manager to sell LCMS (Learning Content Management Software) and E-Knowledge software into the Central Government and Defence vertical. Profitable and cash positive, this company has just had their 15th consecutive quarter of revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will be entrepreneurial and will have knowledge of the Central Government and Defence vertical.

JOB TITLE: Senior Business Development Manager.
AREA: UK.
BASED: South East.
BASIC: £70K – £75K.
OTE: £100K – £130K.

THE ROLE

• A unique position has become available for a Senior Business Development Manager to sell LCMS (Learning Content Management Software) and E-Knowledge software into the Central Government and Defence vertical.
• This role will be new business led and order values will range between $150K - $1.2 million.
• The Business Development Manager will be selling at C-level downwards and sales cycles are typically 6 - 9 months.
• The target will be circa $1.5million.
• The Business Development Manager will be selling direct and working with Systems Integrators including BT, Accenture, PWC and Cap.

• They have 7 employees in Europe and 2 UK Sales Executives.
• Profitable and cash positive, this company has just had their 15th consecutive quarter of revenue growth.
• They are a young, dynamic, fast growing company and they have plans to IPO in the future.
• They have won a big deal with the DLP (Defence Learning Portal) through BT and they have pilot deals with BEA Systems.
• This company compete and partner with Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Kanaa and Right Now Technologies.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• The successful candidate will have a real need for success and strong sales ability.
• A money hungry individual who is prepared to work hard is required.
• This company is looking for someone who has a proven track record of selling software and can adapt to change.
• Knowledge of the E-learning/Knowledge management market space is a strong ideal.
• The Business Development Manager will be entrepreneurial and will have knowledge of the Central Government and Defence vertical.
• The ideal applicant will be capable of working and developing relationships with the large Systems Integrators but can also source business directly.
• The ability to work in a small US company is required.
• Key attributes associated with this role include being self motivated and committed.
