Job Description

Senior Sales Account Manager - Public Sector & Local Government - IT Software

£35,000 Basic £80,000 OTE

We have a fantastic opportunity to work for a major IT software provider in the UK. Their award-winning solutions has made them a truly global solutions provider with widespread appeal. They are bsi registered and have been on the Times Top 100 employers list.

They are currently looking for Senior Accounts Managers for Manchester. You will be working in the Public Sector Local Government sector. The role involves managing a defined account base of Local Government customers and prospects. You will be tasked with identifying new opportunities and also cross selling and up selling within the existing customer accounts against an annual target of £630,000 margin. You will be responsible for managing opportunities through to close.

Through face-to-face sales meetings you will be required to develop a detailed understanding of the nature of your client's business with a view to quantifying how and where the organisation will derive benefit from using our solutions. In most cases you will be required to produce a proposal to support a business case. The role requires an individual with strong oral and written presentation skills and one who can build and leverage relationships within each account.

To apply, you will have a successful track record with demonstrable field sales experience in software or services; Excellent commercial awareness with a good breadth of knowledge of the commercial market place; Experience at selling at all levels of seniority from day-to-day contacts to board level decision makers; An understanding of long-term sales process and experience of selling complex solutions to multiple contacts.

In return, benefits include: 25 days holiday, with one extra day per calendar up to a maximum of 28 days, Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, Death in Service Benefit and Share Scheme and a £6600 per year car allowance.
