Working from one of the Group's offices in Berkshire, your role will begin in an office based capacity whilst you build the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to move out into the field.
This initial training role will involve following up incoming leads and managing existing accounts over the phone. You will sell on and sell up to these customers, and in terms of Account Management, you will work with the field sales team to ensure that all customers' needs are met.
You will also be proactive in identifying and developing new business, proactively making calls to lapsed customers to resurrect the relationship as well as researching, identifying and developing new business opportunities. As the team attends exhibitions and other expos, there will also be leads to follow up these events.
This is very much a "farming" role, but you will also have the challenge and excitement of new business development - it is all about relationship building and although challenging, this will be a very satisfying, consultative role.
Your clients will be Engineering Managers, Production Managers and Manufacturing Managers, but ultimately the sign off will come from the top, so you will need to be flexible in style and able to communicate at all levels.

You will have a degree in Manufacturing or an Engineering discipline, Product Design or simply some CAD knowledge or experience.
You will be passionate about building a successful sales driven career, be hard working, energetic and enthusiastic, self motivated, positive and proactive. As you will move into a client facing role, you must be a professional and adaptable communicator and a great listener.
You will also have a full driving licence, because although the role will start in the office, you may need to travel to exhibitions during that time and the aim is for you to quickly progress into the field
