Technical Account Manager, Telecoms and IT Hardware, Internally based, Dorset
£30,000 Basic Salary, £40,000 OTE Uncapped
Operating in over 50 countries this global provider of specialist telecommunications and IT hardware are at the leading edge of numerous technologies and boast a client base which includes national government departments, major telecommunication businesses and defence organisations. Due to expansion they seek a technical account manager to introduce new products into their existing client base and to follow leads to secure new accounts. This is a complex and technical sales role winning high valued projects often through complex bids and tender processes. As such the client require an individual that is technically minded, perhaps with electronics or IT engineering experience peior to commencing a career in sales.
The role is predominantly office based though will include occasional overseas travel for face-to-face client meetings and attendance at international trade exhibitions. On a day to day basis you will be following incoming enquiries and working through a pipeline of business. As the role is selling highly specialist equipment the majority of the role is internally based.
To apply you must have sold a hi-tech product of some description, this could be IT hardware, electronics, software or telecommunications equipment. As a person you will be target driven with a tenacious sales approach together with a passion for proactive new business and customer service. In addition you will be hardworking, determined and able to effectively communicate technical products.
