JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager IT Consultancy Services Sales. SELLING: consultancy services around security, including penetration testing, infrastructure assessment, application assessment, cryptography evaluation (a consulting piece), blackberry assessment, laptop assessment, payment card assessment and wireless security assessment. SELLING TO: Central and Local Government. TERRITORY: Selling across the UK. LOCATION: Must have access to Sutton, Surrey. PACKAGE: Up to £55K basic, £110K OTE, healthcare, pension, business tools and travel expenses. COMPANY INFORMATION - Established in 2001 - Number 1 in the UK for penetration testing - Founder members of CREST - 54 staff, with 37 consultants - Privately held - £5.2million YOU MUST HAVE/BE THE FOLLOWING - The Business Development Manager must have a Proven track record of both "hunting" and "farming" - Must have sold security consultancy ROLE INFORMATION - The Business Development Manager will be selling purely consultancy services around security, including penetration testing, infrastructure assessment, application assessment, cryptography evaluation (a consulting piece), blackberry assessment, laptop assessment, payment card assessment and wireless security assessment - Main business is done with central and local government, although this person is free to sell to any. - 100% consultancy sales - The role of the Business Development Manager will involve 70% - 80% new name new business. - Sales cycles from 1 to 12 months - Point of contact will be technical, most likely head of security, head of product development, IT director, CTO - Deals that the Business Development Manager will handle will be from £10K to £20K for consultancy. If the deal involves a professional service, it can be as large as £1million - Back up will be provided by having the best name in the business for penetration testing, referrals, a great track record with government organisations, telesales and strong delivery by 37 consultants - A target of £1million will be set for the Business Development Manager Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK.
