Established for 9 years and with 50 UK employees, this company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its highly successful sales team selling mail messaging solutions. All applicants must be able to make their own strategic business plans for lacking accounts and develop new opportunities within these accounts.

Business Development Manager Mail Messaging Solutions Sales

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager.
AREA: UK wide.
BASED: London.
BASIC: £50K.
OTE: £100K.
BENEFITS: Possible car allowance, pension and potential equity share.


THE ROLE

·Established for 9 years and with 50 UK employees, this company is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its highly successful sales team selling mail messaging solutions.
·More specifically, this role will involve mainly selling systems integration services around mail messaging solutions; total services and technology solutions to enable email messaging within enterprise clients.
·This role will lead with consultancy before following with professional services and implementation of technologies to enable secure messaging. They also host, support and provide managed services for the application on an ongoing basis.
·The Business Development Manager will be selling to mid market and blue chip organisation in both private and public sectors.
·Selling to 70% existing clients and 30% new name clients is required in this position.
·The main markets that will be targeted in this role are financial services, professional services, telecoms, media and public sector. 60% of their work historically has been carried out in banking, financial services and insurance.
·Sales cycles that the Business Development Manager will be involve will typically range from 2 to 6 months.
·Deal sizes will be £50K on average and will be carried out at IT management level.
·Back up is provided to the Business Development Manager by telesales, technical assistance, vendor leads and close relationships with partners.
·A target of £600K revenue will be set for the person filling this position.


THE COMPANY

·Established for 9 years, this company has 50 employees in the UK and a further 20 in the US.
·They turnover £8.5million.
·They are VC and private investor funded.
·This organisation has recently expanded into the US where it has experienced 40% expansion in its first year and has become profitable within the first 9 months, even under challenging US market conditions.


KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·A direct salesperson with a proven track record of new business and account development within corporate organisations is required for this position. Key areas are financial services, professional services, telecoms, media and public sector.
·All applicants must be able to make their own strategic business plans for lacking accounts and develop new opportunities within these accounts.
·A structured sales methodology is necessary for this role.
·An understanding of security solutions is essential.
·The ideal candidate will have experience of managed services, storage, archiving or be from a reseller background.
·This company would be interested in a salesperson from a security reseller.
