A driven and motivated Business Development Manager is required to join this company selling consultancy and professional services. This company has been established for 4 years and has 30 employees. The successful applicant will have contacts in central and local government.
Business Development Manager Consultancy & Professional Services Sales
JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager (Government).
AREA: London, Kent, Essex and Surrey.
BASED: Essex.
BASIC: £75K.
OTE: £120K.
BENEFITS: Match to current car allowance.
THE ROLE
·A driven and motivated Business Development Manager is required to join this company selling consultancy and professional services.
·This works by this company going into an organisation, understanding where the problem lies and formulating a solution including bespoke application development, which is then integrated within the organisation's existing financial software. This makes tracking spending in companies with offices worldwide much easier and more manageable.
·The person filling this position will be selling services with software tools, purely to central and local government, although as a company they also sell to the home office, the department of transport, local governments and the NHS.
·The Business Development Manager will take on 1 or 2 government accounts in this 100% new name new business role.
·Deal sizes will be of £180K minimum to £1.5million maximum over 3 years.
·Sales cycles that the Business Development Manager should expect to deal with will be between 2 and 6 months, with a 3 year contract.
·The point of contract for the successful applicant will be procurement directors, finance directors or CFOs.
·Back up will be provided to the Business Development Manager from outsourced and inhouse telesales, as well as a marketing strategy.

·Their last 4 deals have all been incoming business rather than through prospecting.
KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
·The successful applicant will have contacts in central and local government.
·This company is looking for a salesperson that has sold consultancy or professional services.
·An understanding of spending and procurement is essential for this position.
