Sales Account Manager - NHS Finance/Costing Software - North

Package: £40,000 Basic, Car & Bens (60-70k Ote)

My client, a leading supplier of software solutions within the public sector, require an account manager to develop business opportunities within the NHS and independent healthcare organisations. The primary purpose of the role is promotion of Software products and services within existing customers to secure sales of Software (IPR), training and Consultancy Services.

Responsibilities:

Develop strong relationships with Directors of Finance and other senior staff so that they are positive towards the company as a strategic supplier.
Be well versed in each customer?s business objectives, plans and activities in as much as they are, or may be, affected by ICT.
Effectively articulate, particularly at a senior management level, how the company can help customers meet their business objectives.
Broaden the Company?s footprint in each NHS organisation.
Protect the installed and committed revenue base.
Achieve annual sales gross margin targets, as set by the Company at the outset of the financial year.
Achieve quarterly sales gross margin targets, as set by the Company at the outset of the financial year.
Maximise the opportunity for revenue recognition by means of well-balanced payment profiles for contracted business.
Manage the complete bid process, including completion of RFI?s and ensure that bids are properly managed and that tenders, proposals, demonstrations and reports all meet high quality standards.
Work with the Operations/Service Directors to ensure that the handover process is effective and efficient for both the Sales and Services teams.
Develop opportunity profiles and sales campaigns to support the achievement of new business revenue target with the ability to qualify in and out of deals.
Develop and grow business by identifying and qualifying all potential market opportunities.
Develop potential Customers into revenue producing Customers.
Identify and qualify potential new leads to be added to the sales pipeline as Prospects

To be considered you must possess:

The ability to develop effective customer and internal relationships at all levels.
Proven ability in managing relationships at a senior level in the NHS
Some Knowledge of NHS finance (Payment by Results, Patient Level Costing, Reference Costs, Budgeting & Financial Planning)
A track record of sales success gained, to some extent at least, in the health sector.
A broad but comprehensive understanding of NHS financial and activity management
Up-to-date knowledge of the central Government policies, in as much as they relate to the NHS
A sound understanding of business processes and applications
Conversant with procurement rules and processes
Adequate commercial awareness to be able to discuss return on investment propositions, secure financially-sound sales and ensure contractual balance.
The ability to develop and present a strong business case
Expertise in bid management and sales negotiations
Ability to exhibit a full understanding of the business drivers of each prospective customer and clearly identify their return on Investment
Demonstrable experience in using influencers to maximise success ratios
