Business Development Manager (New Business)

What is the problem with big branded consultancies? They don't want to admit that they have and need a sales team. They see themselves at the intellectual end of the spectrum and that intelligence alone will attract business. From time to time they will listen but in the main sales people leave because there simply isn't a sales culture in the firm.
